Reinforced concrete foundation slab with a...

Reinforced concrete foundation slab with a thickness of 12 cm

Bearing slab, 12 cm thick, made of C16/20 reinforced concrete, cast in place. Reinforcement with double structural mesh T131 B500A (per ELOT 1421-2), BSt500M (per DIN 488) on both top and bottom. Plastic chamfer edging around the perimeter. Pre-installed connections for water supply, drainage, electricity, and network for the small building. A level, compacted soil base is required for the construction of the slab. The slab extends 25 cm beyond the perimeter of the building to allow for potential removal. You may choose a larger slab if you require a veranda for your small building. Additionally, multiple slabs can be purchased and connected into a single continuous surface.

Included:

  • Employment of a Surveyor Engineer for slab layout and slope marking.
  • Employment of a Civil Engineer for supervision, coordination, and safety oversight.
  • Disposal of any waste materials at an approved site.
  • Materials and small accessories on-site & construction labor.

Not Included:

  • Leveling or excavation.
  • Laying of a compacted gravel or sand layer (typically 10-15 cm) for improved durability and drainage.
  • Transport of personnel to the worksite.
  • Accommodation for personnel if required.
  • Construction insurance stamps (IKA) if the project is carried out under a building permit.

Foundation Slab Construction Process:

1. Ground Preparation (Not Included in Price)

  • Excavation & Leveling: The ground is excavated and leveled to create a stable base.
    • 1 hour of work for slabs up to 10 m².
    • 2 hours of work for slabs up to 20 m², and so on.
  • Compaction: A compacted gravel or sand layer (typically 10-15 cm) is added for improved strength and drainage.

2. Formwork Installation

  • Perimeter formwork is installed to ensure correct slab dimensions.

3. Reinforcement Placement

  • Structural mesh is placed inside the slab for strength reinforcement.
  • Spacers are used to maintain the correct concrete cover.

4. Concrete Pouring (C16/20)

  • High-quality reinforced concrete is poured into the formwork.
  • Vibration is applied to remove air pockets and ensure proper compaction.

5. Finishing & Curing

  • The surface is smoothed and finished with a trowel.
  • Proper curing is recommended (water spraying or curing agents) for at least 7 days to prevent cracking.

A 15 cm reinforced concrete slab foundation ensures strength, stability, and even load distribution.

Power Supply Requirement

  • Electricity is required for the work. If no grid connection is available, a generator can be provided at an additional cost.

Estimated CO₂ Emissions Offset

  • 100% offset of estimated CO₂ emissions (default option)
  • No offset
  • 50% partial offset of estimated CO₂ emissions

Transportation & Lifting

Material Transport

  • Materials can be transported using a curtain-sided truck or a flatbed truck.
  • The shipping cost is calculated automatically at checkout, or it can be added manually by checking the locations of the technical support points to include an additional material transportation service.

Materials Lifting & Unloading

  • Unloading can be done using a forklift or a crane truck.
  • To calculate the required crane lifting capacity, multiply the weight of the structure by the placement distance.
  • If obstacles are present (trees, fences, cables), a larger crane will be required.

Not sure? Send us a sketch and photos, and we will calculate the required crane specifications for you!

  • Initial setup required + 5 minutes of crane work per m² of slab.

Installation

  • The slab is constructed by two skilled workers.
  • 2 working days required for slabs up to 15 m², with 1 additional day for every 15 m².
