Oikiskos static adequacy certificate

The engineer conducts a macroscopic inspection of the structural elements of the oikiskos to identify any signs of excessive deformations (deflection bows) or other damage to the load-bearing structure, which consists of the metal frame (subframe) and the diaphragm roof and wall cladding (carrier panels).

They assess whether the oikiskos performs adequately under wind pressure, snow load, or seismic stress, and confirm that the materials and construction methods are suitable to withstand the design loads anticipated during manufacturing, and that the construction method conforms to the original technical specifications.

The engineer verifies that the load-bearing structure of the oikiskos fully complies with current regulatory standards (Eurocodes and national annexes applicable to the installation area).

This certification is valid for a period of 1 year, provided that no modifications are made to the oikiskos and that it is used and maintained according to the manufacturer’s latest guidelines.

This certificate does not include an assessment of the foundation's strength or its capacity to withstand the design loads. After the expiration of the one-year period, a new inspection can be carried out to issue a renewed certificate, also valid for one year.

The cost does not include travel expenses for personnel or accommodation costs if the location is more than 300 km away.
